The Frenchmen is a culinary destination inspired by the beloved street in New Orleans where the locals of the city gather to experience the unique cultural scene of New Orleans.
We are a husband-and-wife team of industry veterans with a passion for food and great service. Our mission is simple: to share the beauty, flavor, and artistry of this historical space with great fare and heartfelt hospitality.
LIZ is originally from New Orleans and has earned her experience through many ventures in the winery and brewery industries, as well as several restaurants. Liz really brings a love of cooking to the table, with expertise in both the front and back of the house. Her favorite thing is cooking for friends and family. She is committed to providing a great environment for every guest.
KEVIN has also spent his entire professional career in the restaurant/brewery industries, in various management roles, and is great at bringing stability, personality and consistency to any work environment.
This is the third restaurant venture for Liz and Kevin. We plan for this to be our last. Together with our expert team, we look forward to bringing a warm, vibrant, and elegant space to our community where people can come together and have a great experience. We want to offer something unique. We would love to be as green as possible in our efforts. We plan to compost, recycle our oils, and be thoughtful about the materials used to make our to-go products.
We hope to offer cooking classes, and a supper club with guest chefs at some point in our future.
Our vision is to breathe life back into Staunton’s historical train station, reawakening one of it’s most iconic buildings by offering a unique dining experience.
We believe dining should be more than just eating a meal. It should be a moment, a celebration of conversation, laughter, and the joy of good food and libation.
We value a warm, welcoming environment, above and beyond service. We use quality ingredients in refined, authentic recipes, prepared and served with care and thoughtfulness.
We support local businesses when products are available and within our budget. As we grow, we want to offer support to services in need as we can, to help our community grow stronger together.
We want to offer a space and a service that will keep you coming back for years to come.
